2012 Olympics Pictograms & Logo

Pictograms are a big part of the Olympics, both in their history and use, and their clever nature has greatly attracted those in the world of design. However in 2012, a lot of risks were taken with the design, and the pictograms lost a lot of their charm. The logo received heavy criticism as well for being difficult to understand. I really enjoyed the design theory they were focusing on achieving in 2012 and decided to try my own hand at it, recreating the logo and all 38 pictograms with a more consistent and abstract style, using the simple shape theory from the logo to unify the design while keeping the elements fun but legible.
